An example of this philosophy is the creation of the parallel fibre panel with the aspect of a sandwich having in its central part a veneer of 2 mm and on the sides a parallel fibre coat which, when working at pantograph, allows finding at the depth desired the same essence present on the face and with the wooden fibre disposed in the same direction of the external veneer.
In March 2007 SIPA parallel fibre panels were certified by the RINA institute after tests and verifications provided for by Chapter 7 Par. (A) (b) (C) of the norms for the approval of marine plywood of RINA, on samples of plywood obtained with layers of exfoliated wood, recognizing and validating them as suitable for the use in parts of yachts. Important investments were made also for the varnishing and lacquer application departments.
The new machines give the best results as to quality as quantity under any working condition also per pieces not perfectly even: every machine is equipped with guides where the panel is blocked to be worked.
Besides the interlocking safety system guarantees to stop the transports, honing machines, and roller coaters in case of emergency in any point of the line while the absorption of UV lamps is commutated to half power and the lamp rotate by 180° to prevent any risk of fire and damages to the panels.
Only low environmental impact paints are used.
